Chanting Tears

Whimsical folly laughing and chanting tears

I hear your voice sweetly tapping on my heart

Butterflies dashing in mid air facades of colors

Blinding my eyes, shadows of you, dancing off my mind

Blue and orange swirls begin to fade as the sun sets

Your memory lingers on me as I smell the sea breeze

Minutes turn into days and days begin to blend into night

Until you return my heart beats in black and white

Tiny grains of sand, floating off into the universe

No atmosphere just wandering aimlessly among the stars

Finger tips of air gently caressing in the dark of night

Blushing lips tainted pink reflecting from the moon

The air grows still with anticipation as I reach for you

Stepping in tune with the chirping crickets

The rhythm drowns the stabbing pain that lurks throughout my chest

In the clearing I see a faint outline of a tall lingering soul

Mist clings to you as I approach and as I reach out

You fade away and become one with the sea

Mindful trickery in a blink of an eye gone yet again

To return for yet another day as it was to have happen so long ago
